MBSR programs offered by
the New York Mindfulness Group
      
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction classes for individuals, couples and groups are provided by all faculty members in 8 week courses commencing at various times throughout the year.  The course consists of eight weekly two hour classes and a half day intensive workshop.  MBSR can also be offered in modified time formats and tailored as well to the needs of businesses and organizations.
 
Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy
Is a form of psychotherapy utilizing MBSR elements as part of ongoing individual, couple or family counseling.  It can be useful in helping a diverse array of issues:
 
*  self-esteem and adjustment issues
*  compulsive and impulsive behaviors
*  anxiety, fear and depression
*  obsessional thinking
*  interpersonal relationship issues
*  weight management issues
*  post traumatic stress
*  attentional problems (including ADD - adults and children)
*  sex and marital problems
*  addiction problems and eating disorders
